Over my 43 years as an artist, my paintings have covered a wide range of subjects, figurative,landscape,still life and surreal (which you can find on my website.) and many of these paintings have been portraits of pets and other animals. Animals have always been a favorite subject matter in my original art work. I love the challenge of capturing each ones unique features and personality in a custom portrait. The commissioned animal portraits are realistic and primarily focused on cat, dog & domestic animals, although sometimes you will see that I do enjoy a bit of whimsy and find myself creating unique imaginary worlds with animals.

These animal portraits of cats, dogs and others are available in either pastel or oil paint. Both of these mediums offer rich colors and extreme longevity. Pastels are a slightly lower cost and are done on heavy archival, museum quality paper,ready to be framed. The oil paintings are done on stretched archival gallery wrapped canvas, with sides painted black and come ready to hang (framing is optional).
